# NTP Server

**NTP (Network Time Protocol)** is a **network protocol designed to synchronize the time on computers and other devices within a network**. The primary goal of NTP is to ensure that all devices in the network agree on the same time, even though their internal clocks may change over time. The synchronization process occurs over the data communication path, and the communication protocol used is TCP/IP, utilizing **port 123** for communication.

By default, all Virtual Machines (VM) in [Deka Flex](/deka_flexi.md)i and [Deka Prime](/deka-prime.md) products on the Cloudeka portal service are synchronized with our nodes, and our nodes synchronize with the NTP server for Indonesia.

```
server 0.id.pool.ntp.org,
server 1.id.pool.ntp.org,
server 2.id.pool.ntp.org,
server 3.id.pool.ntp.org.
```

If you have a preferred NTP server, you can modify this configuration at the operating system level. This provides flexibility for you to customize time synchronization according to your desired preferences.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.cloudeka.id/miscellaneous/ntp-server.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
