# Detach Interface

Here are the steps to detach the interface used by a virtual machine in the Cloudeka portal service:

* On the Cloudeka portal service page, select the Instance menu on Deka Flexi.

* Click the Detach Interface button in the More column.

* Select the interface to detach and press the Detach button.

* The notification "Interface has been successfully detached!" that releasing the interface was successful.
