# Server Group

This document explain how to create Server Group according to predetermined policies. Server Group allows users to group Instances together to provide further control over how all instances can be managed in the Cloudeka portal service. There are several policies that can be added to the Cloudeka portal service:

<table><thead><tr><th width="179">Column</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Affinity</strong></td><td>This policy directs Instances to be located on the same or physically adjacent hosts in the cloud infrastructure.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Anti Affinity</strong></td><td>This policy directs the Instance to thus helping system resilience and availability by ensuring that if one host fails, its associated instances are not affected.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Soft Affinity</strong></td><td>This policy directs Instances to be scheduled on hosts that do not fully satisfy affinity requirements, depending on availability, other factors.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Soft Anti Affinity</strong></td><td>This policy directs instances to schedule unrelated instances on different hosts, but with greater discretion than the Anti Affinity policy.</td></tr></tbody></table>
